Let’s get the obvious stuff out of the way. Whatever your brand of Christianity, whatever your political views or your placement on the continuum between conservative and liberal – if you call yourself a Christian, you are calling yourself a follower of Jesus Christ. You are professing to believe in Jesus Christ as God Incarnate, whatever that means to you. You claim to hold the words of Jesus Christ as the ultimate example of spoken truth. It is neither my intention nor my right to judge your beliefs, but you cannot call yourself a Christian unless the words of Christ carry more weight for you than any others.
There are numerous excellent articles online (some of which are linked below) questioning whether Christians can, or should, support Donald Trump. The problem is that arguments generate counter-arguments, and Trump supporters overwhelmingly base their counter-arguments on falsehoods posted as “news” on conspiracy-theory sites like Breitbart. So you will not find opinions, arguments, or persuasions here, only a list of quotes by Jesus Christ, in red, and Donald Trump, in black. They are incompatible. You can make excuses or rationalize all you like, but the words stand. “For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.” – Jesus Christ, Matthew 12:34
Biblical quotes are from the English Standard Version (ESV).
“No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.” – Jesus Christ, Matthew 6:24

I’ve been at this all day and there is so much more. Any readers who want more of the same would do well to have a look at this quiz, this Newsweek article, the Christianity Today article “Speak Truth to Trump”, and this excellent article by J.F. Terrell.
“For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God.” – 2 Timothy 3:2-4
